High Tea fit for a Lady

On Sunday, I enjoyed a lovely High Tea at The Langham Hotel in Melbourne, celebrating my grandmother's birthday. The Langham Hotel is one of my favourite luxury hotels in Melbourne. It's interior is grand and flanked with marble. Gentle live piano music. It's simply gorgeous, as you can see by the images below.

At the High Tea, there was a lovely assortment of little cakes and desserts, such as mini churros in a chocolate dip, mini chocolate puddings and mini French cakes. The display of such desserts was really pretty, such as the cake display pictured above, which was in the shape of the Eiffel Tower *I so wanted to take this stand home with me, along with all the little left over cakes I couldn't fit in my stomach at the time*

And of course there was a chocolate fountain!

I needed a bigger plate to fit everything on it . . .

Are you hungry yet? I definitely am looking back on these photos.

At the back of the little information booklet, there was even a list of do's and don'ts when at High Tea, which is handy because you just never know when the Queen might summon you for tea.

Fancy fancy.

Pinkies in ladies . . . though I don't know about the "no dunking rule," I need to dunk my biscuits in my tea please.

We all had a lovely time and would definitely visit again.

Oh-so lady-like. I was definitely in my element!

Have you had a fancy high tea before?

Toodle doo,

Kristina xx
